Welcome to PPC’s Children’s Ministry!  We hope that you and your children find our ministry to be a safe, loving place to meet friends, have fun and learn about the love of Jesus.

Covid -19 has required us to postpone our children's events until further notice.  Sunday school currently meets weekly on Zoom at 11:30 am. Please contact Mindy Plick, the Children's Director for the Zoom link.

Loving care is provided for infants and toddlers in our nursery, which is located in Room 305.   Parents and guardians may sign-in their children prior to the 10:00 am service.  While you are in the worship service, our caretakers nurture your children with age-appropriate crafts, a simple snack and play.  Please be sure to leave a diaper bag with any necessary supplies, including diapers, wipes and a bottle or sippy cup.  We will text you if we need to reach you during the service.

Children in preschool and kindergarten are welcome to join our Stepping Stones class in Room 305.  Please sign-in your child prior to the 10:00 am service.  In Stepping Stones, our experienced teachers teach a Bible lesson using The Jesus Storybook Bible  by Sally Lloyd-Jones, serve a small snack and allow time for play.

 Village Sunday School

Children in 1st - 6th grades start out joining their parents or guardians in the Worship Service for our 10:00 am service.  You will find a Village Sunday School sign-in sheet located on a table just prior to entering the Worship Center.  We have weekly coloring pages and colored pencils available in the lobby.  In addition, coloring posters by Illustrated Children’s Ministry are available on the floor at the front of the Worship Center. We have found that coloring during the service is a wonderful way for children to stay engaged and relaxed while being a part of the worship service.  About 30 minutes into the service, children are dismissed to walk down to Room 407 for Village Sunday School.   There, the children will pray together, sing together and learn about Jesus using the Feasting on the Word curriculum.  (Out of consideration for children with food allergies, our Village Sunday School classroom is food-free.)

All of our adult volunteers are cleared through our PPC Protection Policy which includes training, reference checks, and background checks by a third party. The Policy is reviewed annually with all adult volunteers. We want you to feel comfortable leaving your children and youth in our care.

Here at PPC, it is important that we practice compassion to those with food allergies.  The Worship Center and Rooms 404, 407 and 408 are food-free with the exception of water, coffee, tea and the communion elements.  In addition, we request that you please not bring any peanuts or food or drinks containing peanut ingredients onto the church campus.  Thank you.
