Our Vision

“Loving people to LIFE: Relational. Relevant. Bold.”

Loving

Perhaps no other word describes the history of PPC better than this as a starting point. It is a verbal form and describes PPC’s deep desire to accept all people wherever they are and love them unconditionally deeper into Jesus Christ.  The century long history of PPC is that we love people. This is what we strive to do with Christ.

John 3:16

People

Because God is a relational God who exists in community, three who are one—people are the primary audience. There is unity in diversity and in diversity finds unity. People are loved unconditionally because that is the way God is.

Galatians 3:26-29

To LIFE

Our loving points to a new flourishing Life in Jesus Christ. This word is capitalized to suggest a flourishing life that is attained in and through right relationships with God, Jesus, the Spirit, one another and care of the creation.

John 10:10

Relational:

A church that feels like the familial assembly that you never had and always wanted.  Perfectly imperfect yet authentic, honest, and safe.  A church where everybody-whether inquiring or skeptic, man or woman, Republican or Democrat, wealthy or struggling to pay the rent, conservative or progressive, has documentation or doesn’t have any, young or mature, can sing like a rock star or crack the glass-has a place at the table. We are serious about this. This is a church you can come as you are and call home.

Hebrews 10:19-25

Relevant:

A church where the gospel connects with the real world, intentionally creating touch points to help live your Monday to Saturday life. Where belonging roots belief and becomes the springboard to meaningful service, justice and action.

Ephesians 4:7-16

Bold:

A church that creatively and imaginatively steps out in faith to share the gospel of Jesus while serving others and creation.  We build bridges and strive to build Holy Spirit life with people.

Matthew 28:18-20
