As Hurricane Beryl came ashore early Monday morning near Matagorda, Texas, flooding is the biggest concern. The American Red Cross is in Texas, providing comfort, support and relief services.
Right now it is important to maximize our efforts to collect blood at drives in unaffected areas to ensure we have blood on the shelves. Due to recent drastic shortfalls of donations over the last several weeks, donors of all blood types are critically needed, especially those with type O blood.
